New York, NY – September 28, 2015 – FRONT is pleased to present the exhibition SMALL15 a one and three person shows featuring the Juror’s selection from SMALL15 call for artists:

With an outstanding response, SMALL15 received close to 500 image entries from 150 participating artists in 24 USA states and in 16 countries: Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Italia, The Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain.
On September 19, lead by Guest Juror Margaret Krug, the FRONT Selection Panel, in a blind-jury process, also designated Roy Aurinko (Tuusula, Finland) as the Juror’s selection to participate in NYC Affordable Art Fair in Spring 2016. In addition, the following 26 finalists were selected to be included in the SMALL15 Publication and in an online exhibition:
Sofia Argyropoulou, Jennifer Becker, Lorenzo Bordonaro, Andrea Campos, Cedric van Eenoo, Elliott Chambers, James Cicatko, Julia Clift, Chris Collins, Andrew Dines, Jeremy Entwistle, Laura Figlewski, Joe Gegan, Seth Howe, Margaret Hyde, Patti Jordan, Tara Kopp, Matthew Langland, Gurdrun Latten, Rick Lewis, Jenna Lynch, Andrew Robinson, Michael Thron, Sarah Morejohn, and Pamela Shipley.
SMALL15 reflects a vast scope of art in small-format being made today. Intimate and arresting, content is delivered by mindful vibrations controlled with accuracy by the memory of the hand. Both physical and psychological spatial relationships are generated by scale. The space operates “metaphorically” as we enter these works mentally, and imaginatively...
